VERO, the sport business communications consultancy, has today announced the appointment of Catherine St-Laurent as Senior Consultant, specializing in international communications.

Catherine joins VERO from Burson-Marsteller Brussels where she focused on the strategic development and management of pan-European communications campaigns, event management, and international and European media relations. Catherine also brings with her significant experience in running and implementing campaigns to promote bid cities seeking to host the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Commenting on the appointment, VERO CEO Mike Lee said: “This is another significant appointment for VERO and Catherine’s wealth of corporate and international communications experience adds another dimension to our work.”

Catherine St-Laurent added: “I’ve worked with VERO on a number of fronts over the past year and have been struck by their innovative approach to campaign communications, great reputation and professionalism and I’m hugely excited to be joining the team.”

Catherine’s appointment is the second senior hire by VERO in the last month and follows that of Karen Webb, former Vice-President, Image and Marketing Communications at the International Olympic Committee (IOC) who joined VERO on 19 May 2008. Catherine joins VERO in early July.
