The Challenge

Advise EDF on how to strategically enhance, shape and implement their London 2012 stakeholder engagement programme and leverage and build awareness of their role as the first Sustainability Partner of the 2012 Games.

The Outcome

VERO’S collaboration with EDF produced new communications platforms to support the organisation’s initiatives and help maximise the impact of their London 2012 sponsorship in the lead up to the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

VERO’s Role

  • Comprehensive mapping and audit of key stakeholders, opinion leaders and influencers in the 2012 sphere including politicians, sports federations and media
  • Development of a compelling narrative to capture the essence of EDF’s vision for 2012 and ensure alignment with broader company objectives
  • Tailored message development to support connection to selected audiences
  • Develop media outreach strategy aimed at building relationships and leveraging key Sustainability Partner and LOCOG milestones in the run up to 2012
  • Advise on EDF ‘leave-behind’ material development in line with 2012 narrative (e.g. fact sheets, messaging, presentations, etc)
  • Ongoing recommendations for speaking platforms and/or event participation to help profile EDF’s sponsorship within the business of sport arena
