VERO Communications launches new office in Brazil – MLA True Communications

Hettie Paul appointed as Brazil Manager to lead new local office in Rio de Janeiro

25th May 2011, London, UK. VERO Communications, a leading international sport business consultancy based in London, is delighted to announce the launch of its first overseas office in Rio de Janerio, Brazil. The new Brazilian office formally opens today with the company name MLA True Communications.

Since being formed in 2006 VERO has achieved year-on-year growth, and following a number of recent international client successes, MLA True Communications has now been established to deliver sports marketing and communications expertise to organisations in the Brazilian marketplace.

Drawing on VERO’s wealth of experience, including the successful Rio 2016 Olympic Bid campaign, and working closely with VERO’s team of consultants in the UK, MLA TRUE Communications will capitalise on the sports industry opportunities in Brazil ahead of the 2014 FIFA World Cup and the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games

MLA True Communications will be headed up by Hettie Paul, appointed to lead and develop the consultancy’s Brazilian operation. Hettie joins VERO as Brazil Manager having worked in the marketing and communications industry for the past ten years representing globally recognised brands such as Nestle, Pernod Ricard and Cadbury’s.

Mike Lee, Chairman of VERO, said today: “Brazil’s presence on the world stage is greater than ever and we are keen to be part of that ahead of the World Cup and Olympic Games. I have had a fantastic experience working with the Rio 2016 team and we are now thrilled to launch MLA True Communications to offer our services in Brazil - a dynamic country in an exciting stage of its growth.

“Hettie is an excellent appointment for us. She brings all of the right credentials to the job, coupled with a passion for the country, and I believe she will make a real contribution to the continued development of the Brazilian sports market.”

Hettie Paul, Brazil Manager, MLA True Communications, said: “Brazil is an amazing place to be right now, both in sporting and economic terms and I am looking forward to maximising the creative opportunities that lie ahead with organisations and companies in Brazil, the UK and across the world, who want to develop their presence” .
