The Challenge
To work with UK Sport and relevant National Governing Bodies to deliver a compelling legacy by bidding for and securing major international sporting events post-London 2012.
As part of UK Sport’s legacy strategy, to advise British candidates seeking election to senior roles within International Federations, and mentor senior officials in British sport.
The Outcome
VERO has helped UK Sport and various National Governing Bodies bid for and secure the following major events:
- 2015 World Artistic Gymnastics Championship, Glasgow
- 2015 FEI European Eventing Championships, Blair Castle
- 2015 EuroHockey Championship, London.
VERO’s Role
- Advising UK Sport and National Governing Bodies on overall bid and event strategy
- Developing compelling and engaging bid narratives
- Scripting of final bid presentations to International Federations
- Creating engaging visual support for presentations
- Commissioning and scripting films for bid campaigns
- Speaker coaching and rehearsal
- Running workshops and seminars for UK Sport’s International Leadership Programme
