VisitBritain / Visit London – Beijing 2008
The Challenge
Develop and implement an Olympic insight and education and stakeholder engagement strategy for these two major tourism bodies to implement throughout the Beijing Olympic Games.
VERO’s Role
- Devise stakeholder strategy
- Conduct pre-Games Olympic / Paralympic Games workshops
- Facilitate introductions and meetings with TOP and domestic sponsors, broadcasters and relevant International Federations
- Provide on the ground secretariat service in Beijing to meet and greet and manage logistical arrangements
- Advise Visit Britain and Visit London on relevant marketing collateral to distribute in Beijing
The Outcome
Tourism bodies met key Olympic influencers and stakeholders. The two week experience laid strong foundations which underpin their 2012 Olympic strategy going forward.
